The one where I am home from Texas the 1st time

8 days, almost 4000 miles, and more antiquing than even I can handle. We are home! Darling boyfriend has made reservations for spa nite tommorrow for us! What a sweetie, I am blessed.

Inside a spacious and lovely Victorian with twelve foot ceilings and wood plank walls, Saffron and Genevieve offers a delightful mix of comfortable furnishings, antiques and offbeat gifts. I hand pick everything in the shop, and don’t tend to bring in anything I would not have in my own home. I sell both old and new, but the new better be very special because I have a connection with the old, the stories and soul of a piece are almost as important as the beauty (or ugliness). I design my own furniture and lighting, refurbish vintage upholstered pieces and repurpose any interesting treasures I can get my hands on. I am not trendy, and prefer a finished home to look timeless, classic, and whimsical. It should be comfortable and work with the way you live. There are no hard and fast rules in my book, I like to make them up as I go.
